What is Online Responsibility Day?

Online Responsibility Day is an annual awareness day that highlights the part we all play in creating respectful online communities. It focuses on establishing respectful user behaviour, accountability, privacy, responsible AI use and learning how our actions can affect others.

Who can take part?

Children of all ages will play a huge part in our digital future. Online responsibility for children includes; taking ownership of their online experiences, choosing to stay safe, recognising and reporting suspicious activity, protecting their identity and personal information, being kind to others and learning the future impact of digital footprints.

We all have a part to play in shaping online culture. Online responsibility for adults includes; taking ownership of our responsibility to create a positive culture for today and tomorrow, realising the impact of our words and actions online and demanding more protections from the online platforms and services we use.
